Our Journey

A brief history

HapticPack originally started as a side project developing a wearable watch that transformed visuals into a physical response. This eventually led to the idea to have a patent pending modular haptic vest.

A few electronic prototypes were developed to test the communication system. With these prototypes, the founder, Jonah Saunders, pitched the product as a finalist in the Husky Startup Challenge.

After this experience, he integrated the aforementioned electronics into an actual vest. It was not a pretty sight, but it generally worked.

After creating the initial prototype, Jonah worked with a student run development studio named GENERATE to develop another prototype. This was done throughout one semester at Northeastern University.

A long term team is being created to further develop HapticPack. This team will help bring HapticPack to the world. Many more designs are being developed with much more in store.
